The villa, meticulously maintained by its English owners and friendly Sri Lankan staff, is carefully designed to allow in natural light and the ocean breeze through its many open verandahs, halls and bedrooms. Time is unscheduled at Sanda Kirana: lie in a hammock and let the rhythm of the waves put you to sleep; or recline in a planter’s chair with a good book. The villa offers excellent value-for-money and is suitable for families although swimming is not possible on the villa's doorstep because of a coral-shelf that hugs the coastline. Safe swimming is about 100 yards down the beach.
