Auraliya, a newly built luxury beach villa, is situated just south of Thalpe, a fine stretch of coastline a few kilometres south of Galle that has attracted some of the island’s most exciting villa developments. The journey from Colombo takes around three-and-a-half hours. Auraliya is a large six-bedroom luxury beach villa on a lovely safe swimming beach, ringed by a protective coral reef. Ideal for families, the villa is cleverly designed in a courtyard shape, around a deep blue swimming pool and central chill-out area and formal dining area. The floors and walls are light with polished white terrazzo and high ceilings are used extensively. The result is an airy, cool, and fresh feel. There is a large garden with frangipani trees and coconut palms adding to the spacious feel and overlooking the sea there is a small ambalama-style bar ideal for sundowners.
